There are five basic varieties of fencing: Ornamental, Privacy, Wood, Vinyl, and Chainlink. The first step in erecting attractive, durable fencing is to select the type of fence that best suits your needs. Each kind of fencing offers several options:

ORNAMENTAL: Typically constructed of wrought iron or galvanized steel, ornamental fencing creates a decorative and secure perimeter line around a property or area. Ornamental fences can be built using brick to accent and further strengthen the fence. It is paintable, corrosion-resistant, and virtually maintenance-free. Styles include universal, 3-rail universal, picket, spear, 3-rail spear, and staggered spear. Ornamental fencing is available in black, bronze, white, and desert sand in 4', 5', and 6' heights.

PRIVACY: Constructed of wood or vinyl, privacy fences are typically six to nine feet in height, and obstruct visibility from the outside of a property or area to the inside. Privacy fences provide a level of theft deterrence, sound dampening, and prevent passersby from easily viewing the interior fenced area. Privacy fences come in a variety of styles, including shadowbox, arched, solid panel, and lattice-top.

WOOD: The traditional fencing material, wood fencing is available in spruce, treated pine, and cedar. Installation variations include wood posts, galvanized steel posts, and brick posts or footings. Styles include picket, shadowbox, ranch rail, lawn rail, split rail, arched picket, scalloped picket, crossbuck, and solid panel privacy. Wood fencing can range from 3' to 9' in height. The wood is treated prior to installation to provide some resistance to weather, but it can also be stained, varnished, watersealed, or painted for additional protection and durability.

VINYL: PVC "vinyl" is a low-maintenance, durable alternative to wood and ornamental iron fencing. Available in a variety of styles, sizes, and colors,a vinyl fence will never rot, warp, corrode, rust, or require painting. We use heavy wall thickness materials (23% thicker than standard vinyl fencing) to ensure the durability and security of your fencing for a lifetime. White, tan, or gray fencing is available in every style and height listed above in ornamental, privacy, and wood styles.

CHAINLINK: Galvanized steel mesh fencing is a good all-around solution to fencing needs such as access deterrence, containing livestock and pets, and property perimeter protection. Galvanized steel will never rust, and rarely if ever requires maintenance. Chainlink is the most flexible fencing material in numerous ways, including virtually limitless height availability, ease and cost-efficiency of installation, and its ability to be installed on slopes and grades that would require staggered installation with any other type of fencing material. Additionally, chainlink provides a low-profile boundary that does not block visibility. Available in standard finish and colors, chainlink can be combined with other fencing materials such as brick posts or footings to provide a custom-designed fencing scheme that will enhance the beauty and value of your property.

OTHER FENCING: Includes post and chain, brick, cinderblock, barbed wire, pliable vinyl (temporary fencing for construction sites, etc.), and glass block. Other options include hinged gates, electronic security gates, and rollaway gates. If you have a specific fence in mind, give us a call!
